Registration of working hours

Registration of working hours for a restaurant or other establishment is made to the municipality, and each municipality can introduce its own specific requirements. The obligation to register working hours arises from the moment of starting the activity. The deadline for registration is between a week and a month.

Food safety in restaurants

Ensuring food safety is one of the most labor-intensive procedures when opening an establishment.

To successfully pass the procedure, the room must:

  • comply with sanitary and hygienic requirements;
  • have developed technological documentation for the food groups that will be sold on the site;
  • have in place good practices for the production and marketing of food and a Hazard Analysis and Critical Point Control (HACCP) system or food safety management system.

Categorization of the object

Once we have finished with the procedures described above, the next step is to categorize the object. Depending on the number of stars that the restaurant will receive, a lot also depends on the requirements. The categorization is carried out by the Tourism Agency.

Occupational medicine documentation

The documentation on occupational medicine describes the working conditions, and also makes an analysis of the hazards that may be caused by electrical appliances and equipment, as well as other hazards that may adversely affect the health of workers.

It also includes andmedical examinations, the type of which is determined by the occupational risks that may occur.

The documentation on occupational medicine is developed after starting work on the site or after issuing permits from the ODBH and the municipality.

Permission from the fire safety service

The main requirement of the fire safety service is that the doors of the premises open to the outside, have a fire extinguisher provided, electrical appliances are in working order and do not create a danger of fires.
